We started loading our stuff this morning and went to move the van...but it didn't move...or start.  Nothing.  We tried a few things..still nothing.  So we ended up having it towed and had to put on a fuel pump.  This was going to be a serious delay.  Finally, we got out of town but it was late.  Most of our travel would now be at night.  However, we did arrive around 1am in Colorado Springs...

Daddy thought we could save gas if we could find someone to drag us around the country...

The kids hanging out in the hotel while we waited...yes, this hotel had a pool table!

And a basketball court...

And a two year old reading scripture...amazing!

And a four year old telling the two year old that her understanding of the text was incorrect.  According to the Greek language, one must see this verse as.............................oh well.

In sorrow, Boozy heads for the animal crackers as the van leaves.  He plans to eat only half the crackers though.  But, he is wishing he had that "thumb rock" from Lake Tahoe so he could go somewhere...

Below is a picture of our new found friend, Terry Grow.  One of the most kind and generous men you'll ever meet.  We enjoyed spending a little time with Terry as we waited for our van.  He even gave Boyd a ride to pick it up when it was done...Thanks Terry...we still talk about you and miss you.

About a year after this photo, Terry Grow died.  We found out when his daughter called us in the fall of 2009.  She was going through some of her dad's old emails and came across one we sent him.  She didn't know who we were, so she contacted us to tell us about Terry's death.  In that conversation, we were able to tell her about how her father befriended us, gave us $200 to help us on our way, and just really reached out to us during our unexpected, extended stay in Grand Junction.

Finally leaving Grand Junction...

We arrived at our hotel around 1am and were greeted by the bunny rabbit that didn't seem to mind us being there...
