We, the Dellinger family, have the wonderful privilege of keeping 5 of the 6 Romer children in our home. Mom and Dad Romer (aka Susie and Dan) as well as little Jack, are in England renewing their visas. So Dan decided to auction off their children to the highest bidder. We paid ten million dollars (that's 5,587,840.86 British pounds) for the chance to watch their children for the next ten days. So below are some pictures of their visit with us..

The kids singing our favorite hymn, "In Christ Alone."

Susan and Daniel - aka, Susie Q & Danny Boy - aka, Sue & Dan - aka, Beauty and the Beast...

The Smith, Romer and Dellinger children...Monday night, after a couple of hours of pizza and playing, all graciously provided by the Smiths...

Don't let the cuteness fool ya...he's got a gun!

To the playhouse!

Charlie goes against the flow...

No boys allowed!!!

Sliding is very serious for Georgia...

Harry in the sunshine...

I think the camera surprised Lily...

Charlie's on a march around the playground...

Carmel's wondering if mommy and daddy are having as much fun as she is...

Controlled chaos...14 children and just one napkin...

Luke listens as Charlie tells him of lessons he has learned from the trials of life... ...like having to eat green beans when you don't want to... (notice: neither Luke or Charlie have touched their green beans).

Carmel wanted me (Boyd) to see her "Princess" shirt...and then later...

...she showed me this dance she obviously learned from her father...

Thomas and Charlie...live, in concert!

Harry, (wearing John Paul's shirt for pajamas), is showing us his fighting staff...

Miss Lily getting ready for bedtime...

Movie night...watching "Daniel Boone."

The girls at bedtime...

Good night Sir Charles...

Everybody's folding clothes...

Here's the story on this...Thomas was writing out a "to-do" list for the day and he realized that Harry was watching and reading as he wrote. So Thomas had a little fun and added the last thing to do on the list...and then turned to look at Harry who was grinning...cautiously.

A bedtime story by Charlie...

Harry's acting like Charlie's story put him to sleep...but when we said we would tickle him, he amazingly woke up!

Multi-tasking - Aunt Lori reads to the children, Lily brushes Aunt Lori's hair, Luke brushes Carmel's hair...

Mr Harry's ready to pounce on Uncle Boyd...

Two stories about Harry...The first night Dan & Susie were gone, Lori set down with the Romer children and told them that they could come to our room anytime during the night. If they missed Mommy or Daddy, if they were afraid, if they were thirsty or if they had a question they needed to ask - they could come on in. Lori just tried to help them understand that we were there for them no matter what... to which Harry asks (in his cute English accent). "Excuse me, so I can come to your room in the middle of the night and say, 'Mr. Dellinger, would you like to see this dance?'" Oh, we laughed and laughed...
Then later, in desperately wanting Michal's attention and not getting it - Harry finally got it when he said, "Michal Dellinger Romer!" We still laugh at that...
Charlie and Boozy...posing with Charlie's sailboat he made...

Harry just thinks the world of Gracie's choice of shoes...

Lori and Georgia...

Pizza at the playground and then lots and lots of running around...

Miss Lily...taking a break from picking wild flowers...

Charlie in the playground tunnel...

Carmel going non-stop...

Captain Harry commanding the playground...

Double the fun down the slide...

Miss Georgia's seeing if going up is as much fun as coming down...

Harry playing baseball with the big boys...

We met the Bell Family at the playground and they even provided dinner for us. We also had the whole place to ourselves... which still means we had a crowd.

Uncle Boyd took these three silly girls out to breakfast...and yes, they were very full - of themselves!

See...

See...

See...

As if their energy levels weren't already at their peak, Uncle Boyd even treated them to an ice cream cone after their breakfast!!!...(I'm now officially the world's greatest uncle!)

Charlie: "I just opened the door and there they were...I know nothing!"

Harry and the boys playing some flag football...

Charlie Boy...

Lily having a morning swing...

Georgia showing deep concern for Tabby's foot...since Tabby's mommy and daddy just told her "you'll be fine."

Carmel always asks Uncle Boyd to "push me really fast!"

Charlie and Boozy just hanging around...

Georgia laughing at Lily swinging...Carmel in the background enjoying the breeze.
